Passive Safety
The Jeep Wrangler builds on a proven tradition of smart design combined with preventative features to help keep you safe and secure. From an advanced front and side airbag system, to high-strength steel beams that improve side-impact performance and vehicle stiffness, Wrangler has your back, your front and your sides.
Blind Spot Monitoring & Rear Cross Path Detection
Both Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) and Rear Cross Path Detection (RCPD) rely on radar-based sensors to detect other vehicles. BSM will alert you if another vehicle is traveling in your blind spot, while RCPD will warn you of vehicles crossing your path when you're backing up.
Parking Assistance
The ParkSense Rear Park Assist System uses sonar sensors located in the rear bumper to detect obstacles behind you. It will sound an alert when you get close to a potential hazard when parallel parking or backing into a parking spot.
Reverse Camera
Whether backing up to a campsite, a boat launch or a parking spot, the ParkView Rear Back Up Camera combined with the available 8.4” Uconnect touchscreen will make it easier.
Trailer Assist
Gusts of wind or a large passing truck can cause your trailer to sway from side to side. When swaying occurs, the Trailer Sway Control system applies brake pressure on alternating wheels and adjusts engine throttle to help eliminate the sway and maintain the vehicle and trailer system stability.

Underbody Armor
Every Wrangler is fortified with skid plates to help protect critical components. Heavy-gauge steel skid plates defend important equipment like the fuel tank and transfer case while a skid bar helps safeguard the automatic transmission oil pan.
3.6L Pentastar Engine
The heroic capability of the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine works hard to keep you going. It boast up to 209kW of power and 347Nm of torque, to ensure you can go anywhere and do anything.
Rock-Trac® 4x4 System
The available Rock-Trac® 4x4 System gives you impressive control and torque for unbeatable off-road performance. With a 4:1 low gear ratio, Tru-Lok® electronic locking front and rear differentials and an electronic front sway bar disconnect, it's always ready for the off-road.
Keep your Tyres on the Trail
This system, which is standard on the Rubicon, allows you to disconnect your sway bar, allowing your front wheels to drop and compress, resulting in improved suspension articulation on tough off-road environments.
Rough & Ready
Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon is available with front and rear Dana® 44 axles. The axles are beefed up with thicker tubes and forgings for exceptional strength, rigidity and durability.
