In Mud

Driving in muddy conditions can be deceptive. You will need to get out and use a stick to check the depth of the mud or water. Jeep® Brand 4x4 vehicles have sealed electrical systems, a high air intake and available skid plates for additional undercarriage protection. To keep from spinning tyres, experienced off-roaders often use a higher gear to control momentum and speed and let the tyres' tread do the work.
On Road

Through Snow

Over Rocks

Driving in sandy environments can be challenging. Thankfully, Jeep® Brand 4x4 vehicles are designed with high ground clearances to help keep your vehicle from getting stuck in soft sand. For better traction in sand, drop air pressure 10-12 pounds below normal pressure on conventional tyres. (Return to normal pressure after use in these conditions.)
Across Gravel

Unpaved roads include gravel, forest service and logging roads. You can expect washboard roads and ruts that will test your vehicle's suspension system when driving off-road. Gravel can act like ice in certain circumstances.
